This year, the CIA was proud to welcome over 273 new Fellows to the Institute, 67 of whom took to the stage to receive their certificate of Fellowship in front of over 600 applauding guests at act19, the CIA’s annual conference.

In my nine-and-a-half years with the CIA, I’ve enjoyed many formal and informal conversations about professionalism. Several years ago, it was even part of the CIA’s strategic plan to better define what it means to be a professional.

One of my final duties as President-Elect is to pay a visit to our local actuarial clubs, to speak to them about what’s happening in the CIA and what my priorities are for my upcoming term as President.
The Indonesian actuarial profession is getting READI
The objective of the project is to establish Indonesia as a regional centre of actuarial excellence by working with high schools and universities, the local professional actuarial association, government agencies, and the insurance and pensions industries, to increase the number of quality Indonesian actuarial science graduates available and to strengthen the profession overall in the region.
