The annual President’s Award, conferred this year by President Hélène Pouliot, FCIA, at the 2023 CIA Annual Conference, recognizes members who have made significant contributions to the actuarial profession in Canada.
On September 13, FCIAs Michel St-Germain, Damien Lapointe Nguyen, Alyssa Hariton, and France Panneton presented at OSFI’s 2021 Office of the Chief Actuary (OCA) Seminar, a triennial event calling on the expertise of demographic, economic, and investments experts to share their views on long-term perspectives.
act21, the CIA annual conference, wrapped up on June 18 following a four-day program filled with eventful opportunities to engage, learn, and exchange. With leveraging change as our guiding theme, attendees enjoyed content focused on the importance of both personal and professional growth.
The CIA is pleased to announce that five new members have been elected to the CIA Board, effective July 1, 2021. As the Board continues with the collaborative task of advancing the profession and practicing actuaries, it looks forward to drawing on this wealth of expertise to help fulfil the Institute’s vision of financial security for Canadians.
At the Institute, recognizing the contributions of our volunteers is a year-round commitment. National Volunteer Week, however, is an opportunity to collectively applaud the achievements of members who have given back to the advancement of the profession and longevity of the Institute.
