Episode 80: Canadian insurance industry aggregate data analysis of COVID-19

With almost a year’s exposure to the COVID-19 pandemic, the impact of the virus on Canadian insurers is a topic of interest to actuaries. A CIA Research Council initiative to survey Canadian insurance companies and collect COVID-19 data from their individual and group life business has now produced results. Keith Walter, FCIA, Chair of the Research Council, joins us to provide an overview of their findings.
